I want to pay someone their price per hour to help me place another 1/2 inch up to 1 inch (lower side) smooth topping on an oval measuring 600 square feet in my back yard. I have a concrete mixer, 10 bags of Portland, a half ton of sand, and some finishing tools. The surface has smooth rises and falls of 1 to 2 inches, so it is not flat (putting green design).The texture of the surface needs to be relatively smooth when we are finished. It can be done in sections without having to finish in one day. I can do most of the mixing. We just dump the sand and cement mixture out right there, and move the mixer out of the way. I have to place some porcelain tile pieces (most 2 feet by3 inches) along the inward side of the corner block I used to build the lower side of the structure. I will use my tile saw to cut it before mortaring it in. When I finish that, maybe in a couple weeks, I will be ready to do the final surface coat. I prefer to correspond through Craigslist at first.
