Responsibilities: The staff nurse provides nursing care to pients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evalue the care for pients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organizion and demonstres professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordining pient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care. Qualificions: Educion

• Gradue from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelors Degree Preferred

• No experience required New Gradues of a nursing program eligible Required
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia Ste Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multiste Licensure Current License in the Ste of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multiste License. Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certificion in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)

• Cardiac Tele: Additional Required Certificions: ACLS Certificion - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certificions within 6 months of start de) within 180 Days Required
• Critical Care: Additional Required Certificions: ACLS Certificion - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certificions within 6 months of start de) within 180 Days Required
• Dialysis: Additional Required Certificions: CDN (Certified Dialysis Certifice) preferred Preferred
• Emergency Department: Additional Required Certificions: ACLS and PALS Certificion - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certificions within 6 months of start de) Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 6 months to obtain the PALS certificion. within 180 Days Required
• Infusion/Oncology: Additional Required Certificions: Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificion prior to independent chemotherapy administrion Upon Hire Required
• Pedirics: Identifies, reports and provides approprie protective measures for high risk situions including, but not limited to, abuse or neglect, failure to thrive and potential for abduction. Additional Required Certificions: PALS Certificion - required Piedmont Columbus Hospital (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certificions within 6 months of start de) PEARS or PALS Certificion - required Piedmont Athens Hospital (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certificions within 6 months of start de) within 180 Days Required
• Surgical Services: Additional Required Certificions: PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediric pients (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certificions within 6 months of start de) OR BLS required only within 180 Days Required
• Womens Services: Additional Required Certificions: Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certificion - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certificions within 6 months of start de) NRP by the end of oriention period, AWHONN Intermedie Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start de Mother/Baby- NRP by the end of oriention period NICU- NRP by the end of oriention period NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP by the end of oriention period Nursery- NRP by the end of oriention period within 180 Days Required
