Addiction is a serious problem and those of you who struggle with addiction know all too well how hard it is to break free from life controlling, life destroying habits. First, I want you to know that there is true freedom to be found from addiction, and that freedom comes from the God who gave you life. Now listen closely, I said from God, NOT from religion. Knowing that difference, experiencing His power, is the key to your freedom. If you will allow me a minute of your time, I'd like to share a short testimony how I found that power which led to my true, lasting freedom...and more importantly, how you can find yours..
It was the summer of 1973, I was just 14 years old when I began smoking weed and drinking. By the time I was 15, I was already experimenting with LSD. I stuck the first needle in my arm at age 16, an alcoholic by age 17, and for the next ten years, I lived only to get high, chase women, and raise hell. Yep, sin is fun for awhile but the consequences are a real drag. As time went by and my destructive lifestyle was taking it's toll, the realization that I was no longer in control of my life began to concern me, so I began searching. I finally found my freedom, not in the "church," but in the power of the Holy Spirit. Today, I am a certified faith-based counselor living free from all addictions, along with a life full of joy and peace.
You too can overcome any addiction or problem by the power of His Spirit. Is it real? You bet it is. Does it work? You bet it does. Do I need to get religious? Religion isn't the answer. I personally do not belong to any denomination nor do I follow the "mold" of mainstream Christianity. I'm just a regular guy who found the answer to a serious problem through the power of Jesus Christ. Listen, it's not about finding a good psychologist and it's certainly not about YOUR willpower to change. It's about a total surrender to Christ and allowing HIS power to change you from within. If you're sick of that destructive lifestyle, if you cannot free yourself from your addictions, I know someone who can. Hit me up, let's chat.
